The DJI Zenmuse X7 DL-S 50 mm Lens with built-in leafshutter is one of the 4 lenses specifically designed for the Zenmuse X7. The lens is made of carbon fiber, which makes the lens durable lightweight. The DJI DL Mountsystem allows you to mount the DL 50 mm onto the Zenmuse X7.

DJI uses the recent developed FSI-Cu technology and a thinner interconnection in the Zenmuse X7 sensor. This makes the lens more sensitive to light, due to the larger angle. This allows you to use a smaller and more compact sensor, while the image quality remains the same. This allows for a smaller focal length which is about 1/3 of a PL-Mount. 

A compact DL-Mount means a lighter mount. The Zenmuse X7 weights about 630g including the lens, and 449 g without lens. When connected to the DJI Inspire 2, the total weight is about 4 kg. The combination of the Zenmuse X7 and the DJI Inspire 2 enables you to make the same exciting shots, as heavy set ups.

What is the difference between a DL and DL-S Lens?

The DL and DL-S differ in the maximum sensor size supported. The DL-S lens supports the Super 35mm, while the other 3 DL lenses (24, 35, 50mm) support full-frame sensors. Both the DL and DL-S lenses can reach a resolution up to 8K.
